Please make plans to join us on Friday, October 10th at the DoubleTree Hotel & Conference Center. Sister Groove will be back providing the entertainment! Event begins at 6:30pm, with dinner to start at approximately 7pm. We will also have dance demonstrations provided by Central Illinois Dancing Singles with special guests Stanzia and Hal Weatherford, owners of Just For Fun dance Studio.

Coldwater Creek store will host their second Try It On for the Cure® event for 2008 on Sunday, September 21st. For every customer who tries something on in their fitting rooms, Coldwater Creek will donate $1 to their local Affiliate. No purchase necessary. One donation will be made per customer. In addition, 10% of all merchandise purchases during the event will be donated to our affiliate.

The Coldwater Creek store is located in the College Hills Mall on Veterans Parkway.

Accomplished country icon, Sara Evans, announced today that she will perform live in “Skating for Life benefitting Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Starring Sara Evans” a special Disson Skating music and skating production presented locally by State Farm. The cast includes Olympic Silver medalist Sasha Cohen, three-time U.S. National champion Johnny Weir, U.S. National champion Rudy Galindo and many more.

The live show is set for October 15, 2008 at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum at 7:30pm and will be televised nationwide on NBC from 4:00 – 6:00pm EST on October 25, 2008.

Scarves and chemo hats are handmade with great care by board members and volunteers of the McLean County Affiliate.
